We wish everyone the most joyous holidays and a happy new year! It has been an incredible year living in New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Laos and now Vietnam.
We love the new friends we have met and have many fond memories…that is what it is all about. We hope to stay in touch and hope to see you again.
Our plan is to keep traveling in 2017. Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan are planned with perhaps South America later in the year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I am loving reading about all of your adventures and seeing the beautiful photos! I would want to be painting every day, I guess that would slow me down a bit as I travel. Do you ever get weary of the travel or does the excitement of a new place take over to keep you going? Looking forward to more posts and happy travels in 2017!
We think about you when we see many scenes or “pictures”. Wish I could paint! This would be great for you, and, slowing the travel I think is a good thing. We try to stay in one place for a fair amount of time. So we try to get a sense of living somewhere and reduce the travel. Essentially try to act as if we are not on “vacation” all of the time. This includes getting rest and relaxation and gives us a better sense of the place.
I see you will be going to my home town Madison in May and then on to Lexington. I want to invite you to stop in Raleigh and visit us as well if you are driving through to your next stop. We have plenty of room for overnight guests and we would love to see you!
