The last couple days have felt surreal! The realization is upon us of an incredible life changing plan that involved imagining and visioning something very different than the hard charging business life we have had for most of the past three decades. After selling our house, both cars, leaving both of our regular day jobs, our new adventure has begun with what seems like a flip of the switch.

We have finally arrived in Auckland after spending the last 36 hours traversing airports and four flights that included a 15 hour one from LA to Sydney, Australia across the vast Pacific Ocean. Our rental car took us to our new digs for the next 30 days in the vibrant Ponsonby area of Auckland, filled with young Kiwis, restaurants, bars, shops and old homes on tree lined urban streets. So many restaurants! Thus, it looks like we will be doing lots of exercise so we can sample a new eaterie or two a day!

Tonight we settled on Burger Burger and had one of the beers on tap…called Beer Beer! (They seem to like their burgers here!). A wonderful first night and very pleasant weather for eating in the open air restaurant! Now time to catch up on some sleep…
